"Robot and Technology Olympics" started in Sakarya

464 teams are participating in the event held at SUBU Esentepe Campus in cooperation with Sakarya University of Applied Sciences (SUBU) and Sakarya Machinery Manufacturers Association (SAMİB).
Students participating in the organization, from primary school to university level, exhibit the projects they have developed.
A total of 900 thousand liras in prizes will be distributed to projects that win awards in the Olympics consisting of 8 categories: "Line Following Robot", "Unmanned Aerial Vehicles", "Mini Sumo Robot", "Mobile Defense", "Robot Football", "Sound and Image Classification", "Design and Development" and "Free Category".

SUBU Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sarıbıyık, in his opening speech, said that the organization is not only a competition, but also an important platform that will contribute to the country's technology journey and reveal the potential of young people.
Sarıbıyık, who explained that the event is a learning method that emphasizes not only technical skills but also the values of teamwork, cooperation, determination and effort, stated that every experience gained here can turn into a wide range of important successes in the future.
Sarıbıyık talked about the university's work and emphasized that young people will gain self-confidence with these competitions.
Sarıbıyık thanked those who contributed to the organization and said, "I hope that the competitions will be productive and contribute to lasting friendships, joint projects and universal science. I wholeheartedly wish success to the participating teams and students."
SAMIB Board Chairman Fatih Kar also stated that the organization is the fruit of university-industry cooperation and that this will continue.
SUBU Nehir Teknokent General Manager Assoc. Prof. Dr. Barış Boru talked about the importance of the event.
Following the speeches, protocol members and participants examined the projects prepared by the students.
The organization will end after the award ceremony tomorrow.
